Restoration (Colorbond Roof): |

| Step 1: |
|
|
Clean all the Gutters. Remove any
items, litter, leaves, screws, nails and dirt.
Always use gloves for protecting your hands. Also remove
any items you may have on the roof (items, litter,
screws or nails). Simply use a broom if you need
to.

| Step 2: |
|
|
High Pressure Clean the entire
roof area (including inside of the guttering) using at least 3000 psi cleaner.
Use a petrol pressure cleaner with a turbo
nozzle. High Pressure Cleaners can be hired from many
companies on a daily rate. Be careful when using the
machine because the roof
will become slippery if it is wet. Before you start make
sure that you block the pipe which connects to your
water tank (if there is any). You do not want to collect
the dirty water.

| Step 3: |
|
|
Check for any rust on the
roof. If you have any rusty spots on the roof (including
the screws) you have to take care of them before you do
anything else. Simply sand the rusted area with a
sandpaper. Clean the previously rusted area. Apply 1
coat of DULUX Quit Rust All Metal Primer (Rust Killer)
on the area. It will protect the surface from further
damage.

| Step 4: |
|
|
Air Blow Clean the entire roof
area.
|

| Step 5: |
|
|
Mask any items that you do not
wish to paint such as; Solar Panel, Ventilation Kits,
Windows, Antenna or any other items you may have on the
roof. Simply use plastic sheets and masking tape. Please
keep in mind that you use a good quality of masking tape
because the cheaper ones are hard to remove once the
sunlight hits them. Make sure that everything is covered
before you start painting.

| Step 6: |
|
|
Apply 1 Coat of Dulux AcraTex Roof
Primer Sealer on the entire roof using Airless Spray System.
Airless Spray System and accessories can be hired
on a daily rate from many companies including local
paint stores. (You can also apply Dulux Quit Rust
Etch Primer instead of using Dulux AcraTex Roof Primer
Sealer. It is an excellent product to use as a primer
for Aluminium, Galvanised Iron, Zincalume, Copper or
Brass Roofs.) Once you have done the first coat, it
is time to apply the top coats.

| Step 7: |
|
|
Apply 2 Separate Coats of Dulux WeatherShield Roof
& Trim or Dulux AcraTex 962 Roof Membrane
or Dulux AcraTex 962 Cool Roof on the entire roof using Airless Spray System. Leave the
gables and any other places where the spray gun cannot
fit to avoid the over spray. Once you have done with the
two coats, hand paint the gables and any other places
where the spray gun did not fit before.

| Step 8: |
|
|
Once the whole roof is
painted and fully dry, remove all the plastic sheets and
masking tape which you have used to cover some items.
|
|
| Step 9: |
|
|
Additionally you can paint the gutters and fascias so
they will match with the freshly painted roof. Apply DULUX
WeatherShield Exterior Paint or Dulux WeatherShield Roof
& Trim on the Gutters and Fascias. They are both a
really good quality products and will give you many years of
protection. Dulux WeatherShield Exterior Paint is available in Flat, Semi Gloss, Low
Sheen or High Gloss Finish. It is your personal choice
which one you prefer.
